Last week, at the last minute, I had an opportunity to visit Washington, DC. This was my first trip up there. I’ve got a lot of friends from the area, that give you all of the stories about the surrounding area and the monuments and all, but it’s an entirely different thing to see and experience it all for yourself. The first thing that really took me by surprise was how MASSIVE these moumenta/memorials really are. (Abe Lincoln was huge!) In any event, I only had a couple of hours to take pictures. (Just getting down there from our hotel was an adventure in and of itself). I hope to make another trip back up that way soon – when I have much more time.
