This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to have Octavia come by my studio. A mom, model and all around fashionista! It was great spending some time getting to know her as a person and making some wonderful photographs. She’s marvelous person and great model. Thank you for the opportunity to work with you Octavia – it was a blast!

This weekend, I had the opportunity to work with the lovely Valaurie Lee and her family. Val came to me the wonderful ideal of taking some family portraits that included four generations of ladies in her family…from great-grandmother on down. I must say that this was the most fun I’ve had taking photos in awhile. The ladies were all great and very easy to work with. Val, thank you and your family again for allowing me to share this moment with you.

This holiday weekend, I was fortunate enough to have a photo shoot with the marvelous Mrs. Mindy. Mindy has a terrific personality which made her a joy to work with. (There were some issues with dodging the rain and changing location, but she took it all in stride.)

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of making a few portraits of the lovely Christin. She’s a very vibrant, outgoing and glamorous young lady to say the least. I had a great time during our photo session, and look forward to working with her again…

Recently, I was blessed with the opportunity to take the Cap & Gown portraits of some of our future leaders and great minds.

These young ladies and gentlemen have mastered all of their requirement and have been recommended for graduation to Kindergarten!

Congratulations to all of the graduates, and thank you for the opportunity to share in the experience. (It was REALLY fun photographing these lil’ guys)

As an idea to promote some more family/children style portraits, I had an idea to throw two of the next America’s Next Top Models into their favorite themes… the Disney princesses. With a little coaxing, some music and a lot of jellybeans, we had a very successful photo shoot.

You never know when you’re going to run into  or meet good people. Enter… Lonnie.

This past weekend, I was working with Christopher Martin for the Fashion Plate photo shoot we did together and I met Lonnie. A really cool (and funny) guy. He was real helpful in helping get setup for the photo shoot, and great to talk to. (He even showed us his chops as an “art director” while coordinating some shots!

Anyway, while he was taking this forklift away, I asked him to stop, and took a couple of quick shots for him. He can now be officially called “Hollywood Lonnie.”

Christopher Martin (AKA “The Fashion Plate”) is a local talent here in Atlanta…He’s a model, actor and TV personality  hosting the show ATL Profile, which showcases all of the local happening and night life around the city. This is just a sample of the photos I took for his latest shoot.

So my wife and sister had the brilliant (and last minute) idea of putting me to work this weekend. The job was to photography my nieces and daughters in their Christmas outfits to mark the holiday. (Not to mention that my son was “drafted” to dress up and participate.Well, since I didn’t have much time, I decided to do this using OCF (off-camera flash) and a softbox. Since I’m really getting into OCF, I thought this would be a great time to give it a run.

So, as I said before, my wife and sister thought it was a great idea to put me to work shooting Christmas photos for the girls. So, it was fun, and i had a great time with my 4 favorite girls (apologies to mom, mom-in-law, sister and wife).

But before I was done, I took some more photos of them in some casual outfits. These were more of them free-styling, jumping around and what not. I just wanted to try and catch them in the moment. (Plus it gave me another chance to play with my OCF).
