This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a FANTASTIC celebration. My wife’s grandmother, “Nanny,” turned 100!!! Can you imagine all the things she’s seen and been a part of in her lifetime. The living is one thing, the experiences (and the ultimate party) are entirely something else. I can’t tell you how festive an occasion it was.

This holiday weekend, I was fortunate enough to have a photo shoot with the marvelous Mrs. Mindy. Mindy has a terrific personality which made her a joy to work with. There were some issues with dodging the rain and changing location, but she took it all in stride…
Recently, I was blessed with the opportunity to take the Cap & Gown portraits of some of our future leaders and great minds.
These young ladies and gentlemen have mastered all of their requirement and have been recommended for graduation to Kindergarten!
As an idea to promote some more family/children style portraits, I had an idea to throw two of the next America’s Next Top Models into their favorite themes… the Disney princesses. With a little coaxing, some music and a lot of jellybeans, we had a very successful photo shoot.
So my wife and sister had the brilliant (and last minute) idea of putting me to work this weekend. The job was to photography my nieces and daughters in their Christmas outfits to mark the holiday. (Not to mention that my son was “drafted” to dress up and participate. Continue reading →

Last year, I was presented with the opportunity to take photographs at a comedy concert here in Atlanta by Davenstar Media (check them out, they’re great folks and highly talented). As it turns out, the concert was for Rickey Smiley’s special “Open Casket Sharp.”
Last week, at the last minute, I had an opportunity to visit Washington, DC. This was my first trip up there. I’ve got a lot of friends from the area, that give you all of the stories about the surrounding area and the monuments and all, but it’s an entirely different thing to see and experience it all for yourself.
